Mothership is a Singapore-born Internet media company.

As of October 2019, it had the highest local penetration among all digital-only media platforms in Singapore. It attracts more than 20 million page views a month from more than 4.5 million unique users with over two-thirds of its audience between the ages of 25 and 44. This means young Singaporeans with spending power, and who are key decision-makers in their households and communities. 75% of its readers are on mobile, and it connects with them by creating high-quality multimedia news and entertainment content that encourages social sharing.

Its greatest hits connect with its readers locally and globally. They include local stories (Exploring haunted HDB houses; good food around Singapore and in-depth explainers of topical issues) international ones (Thailand’s banana leaves packaging; interesting places around the region and our young persons’ perspectives on regional events), our election coverage (both the 2015 General Election and the more recent Bukit Batok by-election), as well as its feature interviews with prominent Singaporeans (Joseph Schooling, Ong Ye Kung, Royston Tan, and others).

It has also branched out into a wider range of video content that includes deep-dive documentary, features on Singaporeans doing interesting things, its runaway success Instagram Asks series that it does with celebrities and also some very unique advertising campaigns.

Mothership is one of 11 websites in Singapore that has an individual license with the Info-communications Media Development Authority.

Since 2015, it has helped numerous brands speak with digital audiences through its content marketing services. Its in-house creative and business teams work extensively with both public and private sector organisations on a range of campaign objectives.
